Hands-on-Workshop on RNA Sequencing


Hands-on-Workshop on RNA Sequencing (23 to 26 October 2017) The Bio-IT research and training centre (Bio-IT Centre) at the Institute of Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology (IBAB) has the state-of-the-art facility for NGS including HiSeq 2500, Hi-Scan (illumina bead-array) for genotyping and Ion-torrent and other accessories such as Qubit, C-bot, Covaris and Tape-station, etc. for processing DNA and RNA samples. The Bio-IT Centre is organizing a hands-on workshop on RNA sequencing from 23 to 26 October 2017. The course will impart the fundamentals of RNA sequencing, the molecular biology protocols towards NGS library preparation besides facilitating sequencing runs on the Illumina HiSeq 2500 sequencing station available at IBAB, Bengaluru. The workshop will also impart training on analysis of sequencing data. Target participants This course is aimed at researchers and technicians who wish to employ genomic approaches in their work. Ph.D. students/Post doctoral fellows/JRFs/faculty involved in relevant research are eligible to apply. Course fee: Rs 12,000 payable by NEFT as detailed below.
