Hands-on-Workshop on RNA Sequencing
(23 to 26 October 2017)
The Bio-IT research and training centre (Bio-IT Centre) at the Institute of Bioinformatics and Applied
Biotechnology (IBAB) has the state-of-the-art facility for NGS including HiSeq 2500, Hi-Scan (illumina
bead-array) for genotyping and Ion-torrent and other accessories such as Qubit, C-bot, Covaris and
Tape-station, etc. for processing DNA and RNA samples. The Bio-IT Centre is organizing a hands-on
workshop on RNA sequencing from 23 to 26 October 2017. The course will impart the fundamentals of
RNA sequencing, the molecular biology protocols towards NGS library preparation besides facilitating
sequencing runs on the Illumina HiSeq 2500 sequencing station available at IBAB, Bengaluru. The
workshop will also impart training on analysis of sequencing data.
