Internship opportunity at Indian Institute of Science

This is to inform you about the opportunity of a voluntary internship
at Prof. Rohini Balakrishnan's lab in Centre for Ecological Sciences,
IISc. The study pertains to several sexual selection based questions
in a tree cricket species, Oecanthus henryi with respect to its
fascinating acoustic communication system (the males produce an
acoustic signal and interesting acoustic strategies which facilitate
the conspecific females to identify and find the males).

The internship would involve behavioral observations of the male
acoustic signal for a better understanding of certain aspects of this
mating system, over a duration of 4 months from February 2017 to May
2017. The internship will offer a learning experience in making focal
animal observations during the evenings from 1830 to 2200hrs in an
outdoor setting inside the Indian Institute of Science campus.

Interested candidates are welcome to write back to me along with their
CVs at sambita.modak@gmail.com at the earliest.
Provision for accommodation and transportation is not included in this
internship.
