The Institute conducts research in areas covering various aspects of Reproductive Physiology
and Infertility, Infectious Diseases, Cancer and Stem Cell Biology. The Institute is equipped
with state-of-art technologies and also an animal house. The Institute is affiliated to University
of Mumbai, for the award of Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry, Life Science, Applied Biology and
Biotechnology.
WHO CAN APPLY
Candidates having Masters’ degree (M.Sc./M.Tech.) from reputed university with 60% (or
equivalent in CGPA) in any branch of Biological Sciences and holding fellowship such as
CSIR-UGC (NET) JRF/ICMR-JRF/DBT-JRF (fellowship certificate should be valid at the time of
admission).
Age Limit: Upper age limit is 28 years (on the day of interview), relaxable for
SC/ST/OBC/physically handicapped persons candidates as per Govt. of India rules.
SELECTION PROCEDURE
Selection will be based on the performance in a walk-in interview to be conducted at NIRRH on
11th Nov 2014. Candidates should report at the venue by 10.00 AM.
Candidates who wish to appear for the interview should pre-register online by filling the
registration form (http://www.bicnirrh.res.in/phd_jrf).Online registration is open till 10th
November 2014. While appearing for the interview the candidates have to bring a print of their
registration form along with attested copies and originals of the relevant documents (Mark
sheets and passing certificates of higher secondary examination i.e. 10+2 onwards, proof of date
of birth, caste certificate and JRF award certificates).
No TA/DA will be paid at any stage of the selection process
